What We Do

We provide a service for young mums and dads, before and after your baby is born. If you have any concerns, need some information or support, even just a chat, maybe the The Young Families Project can help. We can provide support during pregnancy and after for you (Mum or Dad) and your baby during the early years, in our centre or at home if you want. Grandparents/guardians are very welcome too! We can also help you to find other services in your local area so that you can get the help that you need quickly and easily.

How can we help?

Being a young parent can be a challenge. It can be hard to manage everything and find out all you need to know. The Young Families Project can give you local information on things like

  • Preparing for the Birth
  • Caring for your baby
  • Pregnancy
  • Finding Accommodation
  • Going back to school or college
  • Meeting other young parents
  • Someone to talk to
  • Money and benefits
  • Childcare
  • Being a dad
  • Being a mum
  • Local training programmes.

You might want someone to help you talk with Social Welfare, Housing Depts. or your school. Maybe you would like to talk over your plans for the future, problems coming up in your life or just to have someone on your side. Give us a call or drop in, we can arrange to meet with you and help you work out what you need.
