Finance Manager - Part Time
Salary: £10,000 (starting salary)
Hours: 15 hours per week
Reporting to: The CEO
Duration: 1 year (expectation to remain in post/within the organisation subject to funding)

The role:
The Finance Manager will work closely with the senior management team to develop, manage and lead the organisation’s financial business processes. We are looking for a professional, enthusiastic individual, joining our small team to ensure the financial stability and success of The Parenting Network.
You need to:
- Work with the CEO to develop, review and refine detailed strategic and operational budgets and projections,
- Assist the senior management team in the preparation of costings and budgets for funding applications, bids and tenders, and develop financial models for new business opportunities,
- Be accountable for and manage the production of a monthly balance sheet and cash flow reports for inclusion in the monthly management accounts including commentary variations, profit and loss account,
- Prepare and present quarterly financial reports to Trustees, and other periodic reports and analysis for submission to the funders, CEO and stakeholders as required,
- Manage TPN’s day to day financial administration; raising and processing invoices and payments, processing expenses claims, and administering payroll,
- Manage the recording of all financial transactions,
- Ensure compliance with charity accounting requirements, and cash flow forecasts
- Preparation of management accounts/year end pre-audit accounts
- Implement and further develop financial management systems and online processes to ensure compliance with accounting standards/concepts and best practice,
- Any other duty as required by the line manager commensurate with the post.
Experience, knowledge and attributes:
- Be highly motivated and determined to succeed,
- Proficiency with Xero, SAGE and/or other accounting software,
- Proficiency with Excel and ability to analyse, manipulate and present data to non-finance colleagues,
- Ability to respond flexibly to demands of the role, working on own initiative and effectively as part of a team,
- Possess excellent administrative, written and interpersonal skills,
- High level of accuracy in own work, and ability to check work done by others,
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with ability to establish priorities for self and others,
- Be able to inspire confidence and motivate others.
